Thanks to this site I just learned about "Concert From The Stars" which is the flip side of Silvetti's 12" of "Spring Rain". The year is 1978. Has a piano introduction but shifts to strings in the body of the song.

Ferrante and Teicher's entire "Classical Disco" album -- but I seriously doubt this would have ever been heard within screaming distance of a club!

Graham,

You just jogged my memory and sure enough I pulled out something similar. Peter Nero - "Disco, Dance and Love Themes of the 70's" LP on Arista. Who would pass up a chance to hear his rendition of "Brother Louie" or "Feel Like Makin' Love" !!! Sca-a-a-a-ry.

In another recent thread I mentioned a Lipps Inc. song called "Jazzy". In case someone doesn't know it, it's a (Steve Greenberg's version of) "jazzy" instrumental song, with a nice piano solo, but basically forgettable by now. The year is 1980, but what the hell...
