| Can anybody out there recall a funky disco cut that had Kool & the Gang like horns, and very clear Male black vocalists singing "Rise to the top!!" I'm going to put the song in my shared folder for Kaaza, if anybody wants to listen to it. key word "rise to the top" house. Recently sampled by Mike Dixon on his new ep out of Chicago. Bumpin City records. thanks |

| Hi, There's a song by Jimmy G. and the Tackheads (a P-Funk spin-off group featuring Jimmy Giles) from the Federation of Tackheads album (Capitol, 1985) called "Clockwork." It's got the lyric, like Yetta's above, 'cream always rises to the top' and the Kool & the Gangesq horns sprinkled here and there... All the best, Jeanne |

| The song in question is Risin'To The Top by Keni Burke. You can search it on Gemm. Great song still very playable today.
