Since Jerry brought this up, is there a musician out there who can explain the rhythm pattern of this song?

If you look at the chorus as Jerry wrote it (and it helps if you know the music to this) the beat pattern is:

1-GOT 2-TO 3-GET YOU 4-BACK
5-IF 6-IT 7-TAKES 8-ALL 8-NIGHT

1-GOT 2-TO 3-GET YOU 4-BACK
5-IF 6-IT 7-TAKES 8-ALL 8-NIGHT

1-GOT 2-TO 3-GET YOU 4-BACK
5-IF 6-IT 7-TAKES 8-ALL 8-NIGHT 1-LONG

Whatever this pattern is called, it's also in the Gibb's arrangement of Streisand's "Guilty". I always found it odd that although it's a bitch for a dj to mix, the pattern never disrupts the dancefloor.

Someone share their music expertise, please. :)

You're very welcome. I'm just a little too far west in NJ to pick up KTU clearly. It always gets jammed over by a Philly station. Anyway, sounds like you're having a good time. :) Good to hear they're still around and playing some classics.
