| Hi, does anybody know which of these 2 groups did "We're on the right track" 1st I've got S.S.C version and it sounds almost identical to the sample used by Brother of Soul "Soul Heaven" but I keep hearing that the song used was by Ultra High Frequency on WAND. Can anybody clarify this? thanks :-? |

| The original was by Ultra High Frequency in 1972; the South Shore Commission version was released in the fall of 1975. In the last Moulton Billboard column I transcribed, Moulton talked about how in the last week of Dec. 1974, the UHF version was finally making a splash at the discos in LA, two years after it had been a smash in NYC. The Ultra High Frequency cut was remixed and extended by Tom Moulton on the 1975 "Disco Gold" compilation. Moulton also mixed the South Shore Commission LP that also featured "Free Man". The song was written by Philly producer/writer Norman Harris and Allen Felder; the UHF version produced by Bunny Sigler.
