Bonnie Tyler's "It's A Heartache" was a pop/ soft rock record-- a big hit (#3) in the US in 1978. Her rapsy voice was often referrred to as "Rod Stewartish." She dabbled in ""disco"--did a version of "Married Men" that Bette Midler had a "semi-hit" with and later, did "Holding Out For A Hero" from the movie "Footloose" in the mid-80s....

[hmmm...looking at AMG--it did well on the Country charts (#10), also..]

That's understandable; I always hated this record. Never trust anything from Wales.

In 1986 she did a cover of Freda Payne's Band of Gold that was released as a 12' SINGLE AND COULD PASS AS A HIGH ENERGY TUNE. I gotta say I like it.

Don't forget Bonnie Tyler's biggest hit, Total Eclipse Of The Heart.

If you liked It's A Heartache, you might also like,
