2 Disco Track IDs: Bckgrnd Song in SNL Parody / "Rock Me" and mention of "Birdband?"

I'm blown away by seeing some of the identification feats pulled off on some of the threads here... Hope any of y'all can help, have been trying to locate these track IDs for a long time now:

Unknown Track 1:

Sultry disco track playing in background of 70's Saturday Night Live commercial parody. Funky guitar bassline with crescendo string arrangement.

note: the murmur "Hey You" (as well as background laughter) are part of the parody soundtrack, not part of song.

Unknown Track 2:

A bongo-riffic disco track with funky analog moog synth lines, that to the best of my knowledge isn't by the Incredible Bongo Band, though I may be wrong.

Vocals feature the hook "Rock Me, Rock me" with additions "My Baby", "My Sugar". Male vocalist does a shoutout, something about The Birdband, or possibly The Verve Band? not too clear, and database searches of both reveal little:
