Default Song Id (1978 tape)

I was hoping someone could identify this song on a 1978 tape.
Female vocal.

"I can't change you, so I won't try to. You can't make me do what I don't want to."

"I'm sick and tired of people trying to run my life. They're always telling me what's wrong and what's right."

Chorus:

"We've gotta change, change (repeated several times) can't remain the same."

Thanks Nicky. I've never heard this song anywhere except this tape.

I'm assuming it wasn't a big hit.

Not big in the traditional sense of the word, but it was a record I personally played the hell out of and was really liked by my crowd. It wasn't quite as formulaic as most of the then disco sounds and had some bite to it, especially the vocals.
Good memories with this song for me.

Similar to what Quinny said, this song was a favorite with the dj's more than the crowds. In '78, the Euro formula was really getting popular and this song didn't fit that mix. Other clubs blasted the hell out of it. DJ's who knew how to give a crowd a taste of everything could work this very well.
