Well as it sounds a bit like Change – and with the lyrics – it could be “You're My Number 1” unfortunately I don’t have the “Sharing Your Love” LP from which that track comes from so I can’t check for you.

“You're My Number 1” was written by Burgess, Calloway, Davenport and the lyrics/samples style sounds like it could be them at work.

You're correct, it is "You're My Number 1" by Change
