| I have a Carol Williams CD that I bought from amazon.com that I really like. Its called "Reflections of". I also have her "love is you" salsoul 12" single. Personally, I think that she and Salsoul music in general kicks ass. Well, I want to buy more Carol Williams. So I went to amazon and saw this other CD for sale: Amazon.com: Carol Williams: Music: Carol Williams But before I buy this, can you tell me (those of you who are familiar with these songs) are they from the 70s and good disco songs? Unfortunately there isnt much info. there, and I cant even hear samples. Futhermore, I never heard any of those songs before. I dont want to buy stuff from like 83 and end up with the cheesy eighties beat. |

| I don't think this one is from the SALSOUL diva. Seems to be a jazz artist with the same name. The CD was said to be released in 1992.

| All I know of is the Reflections Cd which is probably her best work and some of her Salsoul stuff which is just OK. Going by the song titles, I doubt if this is the same artist and its definitely not in the same period of her disco stuff. |

| Came across this old post and I gotta update it... O!M!G! Is this EVER a great cd! This IS the same Carol Williams as the Salsoul diva you guys were thinking of, except this time she's working with Tony Valor instead of Vince Montana, maybe in 1978. The music, you ask? If you like meaty/beaty/bouncy disco, with LOADS of strings, percussion, breaks, great female vocals, great timings (3 songs over the 6-minute mark) you NEED this undiscovered treasure. Think of it as along the same lines as Gloria Gaynor's "Love Tracks" being sung by a funkier Dionne Warwick: ALL tracks, even the 3 or 4-minute ones, are excellent! It also seems this work has Ms Williams' personal touch ALL OVER it: songwritring/vocal arrangements/background vocals/ even her "own" kick-ass rhythm section!-quite an achievement for a black female "disco" singer in those days. Hats off to her! Too bad this is a Hot Productions, so the sound (especially the last track) is not the best quality (shoulda said "Sorry, NOT from the original Masters!) Question: was this recording played anywhere BITD? it's not even listed in the Billboard Disco book. So what gives??
