I think thats a remake-I could only find an extremely hyped up version
of the songs on I-tunes. The original was very seductive and laid-back. thanks though!

Pulse is correct, 52nd ST is what you are looking for, that iTunes sample must be a recent remix, the original is a laid back mid tempo Loose Ends sounding cut.

The LP is Children of The Night from 1985

A CD called New Jack Ballads Volume 3 has a 3:53 version of 52nd street's "Tell me (how it feels)" on it and yes its the original laidback version. The entire series consists of 3 volumes and was put out by Rhino in 1998. This series is where I learned about many obscure post disco soul artists 1985-1992 and now that is what I'm primarily collecting.
