 Memorial: ID: title and artist "Do It"? a male group 1981 or prior this a chant song no real lyrics other than the lead saying "Do It" throughout. The lead is singing in a scat style "chinka chinka coy with a do it thrown in here and there and the rest of the guys are singing counterpoint in the style of Sly and the Family Stone"s "Dance To The Music" (boom boom boom). There is also female backup singing long drawn out Laaaa la la la laaaaaaaas. near the end of the piece there's lots of whooping and screams. A hot song and very funky. Yetta         |
