I would appreciate anyone's help in identifying a tune which i heard years ago as a kid on the radio (possibly between the years 1979/82??? and i cant remember which radio station it was!)
It was a funky/soulful/disco sounding type tune, possibly something which was around at the time but was still quite rare,as i've never heard it since and i know for a fact it was a tune that never entered the charts!
The only words i can ever remember from the song where from the chorus which went as follows ...
'Reflections of your love haunting me......keeps turning me on' ?????
Thats all i can remember from it,nothing else and i do remember that it was a male voice/vocalist singing it - possibly as a solo artist or as part of a group??????
Does anyone have any idea what on earth this tune was???? as it has been on my mind all these years and it really is annoying me!
I've asked people elsewhere and no one seems to the foggiest idea what it was - so if anyone on here has any ideas, i would be so grateful!
Thank you

Uh, I can almost hear it:
A female sings, "Must be the music" and then a guy comes in: "Turnin' me on."

Is that how it goes? If so, I'll bet someone on this board knows it!

Response to the above!

Thank you very much for your responses, much appreciated! but i am 99.99999 per cent (infact 100 per cent certain) it is not 'Secret Weapon - Must be the music' for the simple reason that i have that song and its defo not that!!!
But thank you all anyway!
Any other suggestions most welcome!

Another response to the above request for help to identify a tune!

I think this tune that i'm trying to identify is a very obscure tune indeed and i cant be exact as to what year it was, but i would take a guess at somewhere between 78/82???????
I heard it played when i was a kid on some radio show (goodness knows what that show was) and i have never heard it since or even seen/heard it in rare record shops-so it must be an extremely obscure/rare tune indeed! maybe i was just in the right place at the right time and had the radio switched on as it was being played!
I defo rememeber there was no female vocal in the song/chorus,just a male vocal!
I have a feeling that this is proberbly one of those songs that i will just never find out what it was because it is quite simply so obscure!
But if anyone can help, i'd be most grateful!

Hi! I have that song among the 300+ CDs I have bought since finding this site. If you are willing ot be patient, I am willing to locate it and let you know.

I know it is not among the 6 CDs I got in my car's CD changer right now, so I only have to search among two-hundred and ninety-something!

Reply to the above message!

Thank you for your response! you say was it 'Cindy & Roy' on Casablanca Records-for all i know it could well be?????
However, i did look up 'Cindy & Roy' on the internet and saw a picture from a record sleeve of one of their rcords from 1979 (they had a few apparently!) and for some reason i'm just not convinced it was them! The reason i say that is because 'Cindy & Roy' were two white singers and from the voice i remember all those years ago singing those lyrics 'Reflections of your love haunting me...keeps turning me on?????' it just sounded like it was a black singer (I know that may sound a bit racist, but its not meant to be!)- The voice i remember sounded a very deep/husky/soulful type of voice singing on a tune that was quite a rare groove/disco(ish) type of tune , which implies to me that it was a black vocalist/group rather than a white singer/singers of which thats what 'Cindy & Roy' were!
