THERE WAS A GROUP, FORGOT THE NAME THEY DID SONGS CALLED. IN THE POCKET,GRASS AND PIGMY THE ALBUM COVER WAS ALL JUNGLE WITH FEMALE BACKUP SINGIN. HAVE THEM ON OLD TAPE WITH SONG TITLES ONLY SORRY.

You refer to "African Suite" who in 1980 realized a same album on MCA label.

I listened to the file you sent but I still don't know. Sounds real good! Do they ever actually get into the song or is that as far as they take it?

I'm gonna keep looking because I know I had other Barrabas covers by a group other than Techno-Lust.

Thought I'd respond here just in case someone else can share more info.

The other group I have that covered Barrabas is the J. & B. ORCHESTRA. They, too, did a version of Black Magic Woman. My 12" says this is the '1992 Remix'.

Here's the information off the label. I guess this would be 'Italo Disco' so even though this isn't the song you want someone out there could tell you if they had more stuff.

Obviously this info is old but this group's cover is more funky the Techno-Lust. They just might be the one.
