Not quite sure any more, but it could be "Without you" by the Perfect Strangers... (not the current Country music band)

Of course, that's it!!! I don't know what I was thinking.

Although, the version I know is faster-paced and has more chopped-up synths... I'll try to post a sample if I can put my hands back on it.
