Another song I'm trying to locate. Has female vocals and goes something like:

Got me thumping, got me pumping, got me jumping, it's so enhancing (?), now I'm prancing, got me dancing...

I think it may be Work That Body, but am unsure. Can anyone tell me whhat and who it is?

LOL....the song by Diana Ross.....

Love the one by Sandy Mercer even moreso than Taana's...Sandy's entitled, "Work Your Body (Work That Body)" her first with RCA was one of the better lesser-known songs from early '79....try and find it...also good was the flipside of her year earlier single, "You Are My Love" (OK) but the "B" side called "Play With Me" was sorely overlooked. (H&L Records)

I have to agree with DanceMan...

Diana's "Work That Body" was pretty pathetic.

This was at the stage where she envisoned herself a "songwriter". Didn't she cook this up with Paul Shaffer or Paul Jabara or someone like that. I'm at work--can't check.

Anyway, "the stretch 2-3-4, reach 2-3-4" tune reeked, IMHO.

Yeah, I think Discohunter is looking for Taana's version but Quinny and DanceMan are right on: Sandy Mercer has it 'all over her face' with this one. And DanceMan, "Play with Me" wasn't overlooked by all of us. Excellent piece of music. You have good taste.

Of course there was always BODY WORK by Hot Streak which I absolutely loved. Great intro, fantastic groove, powerful in the extreme. It was the Dog's Bollocks!
