A 20:02 Song?

Geez,

I am POSITIVE that in the Fall of 1978 (or possibly the fall of 1979) as I was leaving THE WIZ in New York, I saw a 12 inch'er that read 20:02.

Could it have been a medley of songs or is there a remix of a song that is really 'twenty minutes, two seconds'?

Have I been dreaming these past 28 years or is I just crazy? Please help me put this dream to rest.

The Do Or Die Medley is from Grace Jone's Fame album, released in 1978 on Island Records.

The songs and timings are:

Do Or Die 6:47

Pride 6:23

Fame 5:37

I have only seen a 12 inch release of Do Or Die and not the entire medley. That doesn't mean there isn't one.

But a 12 inch clocking in at 20:02 would not surprise me.

Most likely not your song but it does illustrate they can squeeze it all in on one side.

I checked Carol Douglas' "Midnight Love Affair" medley but that's 18:27. Sorry I couldn't help.

Thanks for replying and your input. Even though you did come up with something, and not the exact timing I thought I saw, you did help.

You have put my dream(s) to rest. If no one has heard of it, then MAYBE....... it doesn't exist. I could have been mistaken.

But yeah. Records during the height of disco -- around '78 and '79 were crazy long! When remixes ran amok. And ending any song was considered heresy! Salsoul said it best -- they really wanted us to "Dance Our Asses Off ! " Probaby til we dropped 10, 15 pounds at the end of the night.
