Regines in NYC was a classy supper club. I got my first taste of caviar there with eggs. I went a few times in the late 70's with a boyfriend.
I saw John Gotti there a couple of times.
Now the Regines in London was amazing. It had a beautiful garden.
Also, frequented by a lot of Saudi's drinking & partying.

I used to go to the Chicago Club in the late 70's. Wonderful times dancing with a lovely girl I dated and loved very much.

Great memories that will never be forgotten!

Happy to have experienced one of the last eras of class and romance!

Thank you Regine with all my heart!

During 1981 to 1986 i was the comercial and social PR- Public Relations in the club of Régine's in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was the most sophisticated of all the 23 clubs Régine's all over the world. I still PR od Tivoli and caesar Park Worldwidge hotels, but never will forget of those magic moments times in my life. How Time Flyes,

I had the pleasure of meeting and personally speaking with Regine, in Paris in 1984. I was a US exchange student, studying in Switzerland and college room mate introduced me to her. It was the most fascinating 30 minutes of my life. I only wished I had pursued my life long ambition...working for Regine to learn the business.

Now there is a interesting place. What type of music are they playing if it is not DISCO/DANCE music? And HOW MUCH for a fine RUSSIAN w****?? That is a joke, maybe? I wasn't aware that REGINES was still open . Is it still called REGINES?

I've been to the ones in NY, Paris, & Monte Carlo (Jimmy'z). All great clubs, in different ways. NY was nice, somewhat classy, in a nice setting. Paris, I still go to once evey 2-3 weeks: nice crowd, quite quaint; you'll hear a rare disco track once in awhile.
The Jimmy'z in Monte Carlo, I've been off-season as well as in the summertime. The most crowd-attracting club in Monte Carlo, LOTS of whores, both African & Russian, LOTS of rich people, great festive atmosphere, great setting. The music is very commercial, so don't go there to discover underground gems. Just beware who you're dancing with (especially if she's Russian), if you don't intend to waste time on someone who'll be soon asking for money. True to most clubs in M.C., especially there.

I deejayed a little at the New York and Miami REGINES. While they were very classy clubs, they were VASTLY over-rated! REGINES was a big, important name in DISCOS, but in actuality, her UNITED STATES clubs were LAME in comparison with what she opened in EUROPE. It was a CLUB POLICY to play slow music first, then slowly increase the tempo until there was a full dance floor. You got suspended or terminated if you deviated from that POLICY!! But were there beautiful people there? YES!!! On my scale from 1-10, it, the New York Club, only gets a 7.

My name is Kimberly Tetlow. This is me at Regine's back in my modeling days in the early eighties. This photo was taken by Women's Wear Daily and was published in their society pages the next day with my name in the caption: Kimberly Spangler... I was having a dinner with Andy Warhol, Elsa Perretti and Brooke Shields (and her mom) among others. WHAT FUN!

I'll never forget the enchanted weekend I spent in New York with my two best friends when I was 23 years old. We went to the theatre to see "Chicago" and then to Regines for dinner and dancing. I was overcome by the sophistication of it all. What I will never forget is seeing the enormous green eyes of a very tall Marisa Berenson peering (at me?) over the shoulder of the man she was slow dancing with on the floor. She was the closest thing to a fairytale princess I had ever seen. A night I will never forget!

Regine's Discotheque (1982) in Rio,Brazil was very elegant. Before the dance music the DJ would play some a selections from Frank Sinatra and then skillfully and smoothly increase the dance beat.Good memories will never fade.

Yes!, I love dancing at classy Discos and for sure Regines was one of them.
I also was at the one in Paris, but what can I say about my hometown, New York...the best discos and best crowd.

I remember this place from 1987. so classy... so stifling yet inspiring desire to be even MORE chic than i already could handle... loved it as much as any self-respecting goth chick could.

anyone remember el morocco? also brief spark in 80s, same theme i believe. (from what i can remember). early onset Alzheimers you know.
