Sep 23, 2011 | 2:45 amMy name is Orlando Serrano, I'm from Colombia.
During the late 70’s and 80’s years I was studying electronics in NY, and for those hard days the Lemon Tree was one of my favorite places to take a break at night. The place had a great atmosphere, it was very well decorated, and the music was fantastic. I remember my friends Katy Brogan, Michael Driscoll, Dennis, Bob and Kenneth Driscoll, my friend Claude Meneses from Chile, and many other American friends that I really miss today. We had a great time there. God bless you all.

Apr 18, 2011 | 1:07 pmwhat can i say but what a great disco dance club with the best disco music mix and great lights and decor. the girls were among the hottest in the tri state area and what great memories i had looking forward to going there with a couple of the boys and meeting the rest of the pack there. i must say we all felt like we owned that place when we all got together and got hammered at the bar and then tore up dance floor with any girl we approached, and they loved it, and i must say so did me and the boys. would go back there in a heart beat.

There's no admission just come and help us bring back the magic for one night...There's going to be a facebook event page soon. All are welcome..More info to follow.

Dec 20, 2008 | 1:58 amI used to tend bar there, my name is Nicko. I worked behind the bar with Billy C, Dave, Michael C, Charlie, Cliff and Louie. There were several owners Bobby Goodrich, Al Gonzolez, Michael Goodrich, Stan the Man, Jack Lester, Alan Bankhalter and a few others with shares. Big Pete, and Pete the Cop were the two bouncers among many that I can recall. Angie, Maria, Marie and Fortuneé were cocktail waitresses. The DJ's Jenny Costa, Mitch St. Mitch, Carl and Stan the Man. Tito Puente was there on Thursday's, Latin nite. One night a week was Ladies Nite (male strippers). We used to pack em in on the week-ends and Wednesday was a good night too. I'm sorry if I've left anyone out, it's been a while. Those were great times, I 'm glad I survived.

Nov 20, 2008 | 11:26 amYes,1978-1979 were the years! My cousins, friends and I hung out all the time. Mike the bartender was great! Pete the bouncenr, were are you my friend? The after hours on Queens Blvd., across from the Pam Am Hotel, great spot after the Tree closed. I can go on and on, we hung out with a crew of no less then 15. We were all from Knickerbocker Ave., in Brooklyn. Met my now wife of 30 years there and have original picture taken by the Lemon Tree staff still! If anyone remembers me the crew, Dennis, Little Tommy Gangster, Joe Dip, Tommy "Merk", Botch contact me. Never forget one of the owners we called "Johhny Carson". Me and the crew never paid to get, one more day! would be great.

Oct 22, 2008 | 1:29 pmWow-What I wouldn't do for just one more magical night at the Lemon Tree. Thursday was the weeknight to go. I worked the private parties there on weekend afternoons so I never had to pay to get in. What memories...Jenny Costa, the Goodrich brothers-the love of my life Anthony (aka-the one that got away...sigh)and even met my husband there. And don't forget big Pete the bouncer-what a cutie pie!Place was small but electric. 1978-1979 was the year to be there! The music, the small back room to sit for a minute, those tacky little lemons hanging from the trees. The song "Heaven must of sent you" will always remind me of the Lemon Tree. (And my Anthony...sigh)

Anthony C (Tony) was the DJ and Jimmy Yu, and Jenny Costa
This was a small club more of a hangout place that anything.
Ted and I would come over from Spinning records at Jerry over on the LIE and pick up Anthony C and go to after hour clubs. Not sure what years Tony was the DJ at this place.

Oct 28, 2006 | 9:03 pmyo, Lemon Tree. This was my hangout on Thursday. I had my table right on the left as you walked in. I lived at that place. If you went there, then you knew who I was. Always with a champagne bottle of Moet in the silver bucket. My boy Rigo used to spin there, and the mob boys hanging out at the bar. I have great memories there, and I spent a whole hell of a lot of money there. Remember, Lemon tree was a place to hang and talk to people who would hit the city on the weekends, and keep it local on Thursday cause it was a real good party, especially if you were from Queens.

Apr 07, 2006 | 9:18 amLemon Tree - I remember the low ceiling (cuz it was a basement) and the fake lemon trees all over!! It later turned into RUNWAY 69-- a nude strip club, until the Forest Hill neighborhood picketed in front of it to get rid of it!
