I remember Fantasia's I use to hang with my friend Chris that also spun there.
Fantasia was located at 2020 86th street on the second floor.
There where no hanging trusses over the dance floor.
It was an old dance studio turned night club. It had gray couches and walls of mirror on one side. The dj booth was on the right side of the room. I remember it well this is Pete Pedone and I was the original DJ. The place opened in oct. 1980 and I played there till Jan 1982.
My good friend Chris would fill in. I would work between fantasy island night club and Fantasia. It was a great time for clubs, by 1982 the club scene was on the down turn and after hours turned into places of gambling and drugs.
Fantasia was a great place to come and dance. If got there early enough you saw some of the best hustle dancers from all over come to dance to my music. I played the best hustle music from 1972 to 1981! It was a great time to live in Brooklyn!

Penthouse was changed to Pastels then to, I think,to Legacy. 2020 was, back in the day, Fantasia on 86th street. You also had Plaza Suite. I know Fantasia because I did the lighting and sound in that club. Remember the suspended lights around the dance floor. My idea.
