Fokos (not Focus) was a Long Island Disco where all the great dancers went. I wasn't bad but I remember being impressed.
Sunday night was ladies night. Fokos was located where the old Island Garden used to be and where the New York Nets of the ABA played basketball.

Jan 16, 2011 | 2:03 pmFOKOS was the HOTTEST club in the 70's, Frank was the owner, it didn't get young until the last couple of years it was open. Fokos started having teen nights because other clubs opened and people started going to them. Fokos was hot! The best disco music, best times.
