The best music of the time/imports and italo/ was played at Banana Boat. Used to go every Friday night. Saw Shannon play there.

The best thing this club had was Avy Gonzalez. Other wise a very lame place, full of "potalitas" and coke whores. A 7 on on the scale, and only cause Avy was there.

Met my Ex-Wife there, but I still have fond memories of the nightclub. great DJ, lively crowd, it was one of my alltime favorites.

Banana Boat bared the perfect name for it's location and main client base, a highly populated Cuban area! lol
Please no one get offended,I am Cuban myself and one must speak the truth,El Bote (the boat) was a favorite amongst Cubans.
Great times had there and the babes? OMG!
I think someone (I think Avy Gonzalez) had a crystal ball and used to have top acts before any other club every week. Place used to get so packed, it would get really hot, like a sauna! But it didn't matter, by far the best music, DJ (Avy) and club in Kendall. Weds, Fridays, and Saturdays was always a blast. After Avy left, Club went down hill and eventually closed, to bad...Owners didn't know what they where doing. Lots of great memories and beautiful women....One of the great clubs....
