Fridays And Saturdays

Youngs Rd., Amherst (Buffalo), New York

Owned by the Paolini's, Fridays was a small club located by a Buffalo airport runway. The low-tech, flashing strings of christmas tree lights and the beats of 1973 Fred Wesley, James Brown and Maceo & The Macks were the attraction of this always packed club. This was the FIRST place to usher in the sound of Philadelphia in '74. A huge remodeling/expansion along with DJ Charlie Anzalone, made this the true "Father of Disco" clubs in western NY.
