E. 60th St, New York, NY
Owners, Jean Claude Pujol, Robert Pascall & "Alo-Alo"
Club A was a club for the rich & famous. Competing with Regine's, the well drinks started at $9.00, name brands were $12.00-$15.00 and premium brands were $18.00 & up. Bottle prices started at $175.00, but no matter how much money you paid, guests would always see celebrities, sports start, newscasters, politicians, etc.
Mick Jagger, Rod Gilbert, Valarie Perrine, Angie Dickenson, Pele, etc. were only a small percentage of the celebrities that graced the magic of Club "A".
The 10 foot high glassed waterfall separated the 60 foot bar from the huge dance floor. The bistro was great & the adjecent "Tucano Restaurant" was indeed worth a 5 star rating.
The club was a hot spot and since closing it's doors, I wish Scores (now at that location) the same success.
