Cherry's

Cherry's was the place to be for disco dancing & live entertainment. Resident D.J. Dominick Lauriano would spin great sets from Donna Summer, The Bee Gees, Tavares, The Trammps, etc.
The Live Acts booked at Cherry's on Weekends were The Trammps, Chic, The Village People, Andrea True, Tavares, The Stylistics and believe it or not, 1 weekend they booked "The Joe Frazier Revue".
They had a 30 week Hustle Dance Contest and gave away 2 "cherry red Corvettes". A great club that will be missed

I went to Cherry's a few times back in the late 70s. I was supposed to see CJ & Company perform there but they didn't make it and, in their absence, I saw Evelyn Champagne King.
