And the grand entrance one always made walking down the stairs, You thought you were on the Titanic. It was great dancing to Chez-Chez La Femme. I loved this place. Lots of glam and high times.

LoL. I certainly do remember those two scary stuffed Polar bears that stared down at you as you danced. The dress was very 70's glam! I remember wearing suits there, with silk scarves.
Cigarette holders. Glitz and glamour.
Fun fun times.

I disagree with a rating of 2. Even though it was short lived it was truly a fantasy space. the bears, lights and fog. When you descended the staircase you had arrived. The music was so-so and the crowd had much to be desired but the SPACE was incredible.

I remember this place as the large DISCO that would pick-up the clientèle that could not get into THE COPA. There were a lot of clubs close by, but the residue of The COPA was the dancers on the floor of CHEEKERS. Not open very long, they had nothing on the weekdays, all their action was on Friday and Saturday nights. The owners and management was in way over their heads. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a very lame 2.

OMG.... it was fab, I talk about it to people who never went or heard about it. they dont belive me when i tell them about the bears. it realy was and amazing place. it dident last very long but it has to go down as one of south floridas most glam discos. we would go between the copa and there.I spent newyears 1977 there...AMAZING

Does anyone remember the gigantic bears at the two corners of the dance floor. I had lots of fun there. People would come really dressed up with tuxedos and long coats.
