94th Aero Squadron
Miami, Florida
Don't know details on on owners, DJ's etc but I do know it is a restaurant that had a fantastic disco in the 80's. Friday nights was a very popular time to hang out here. Speent many a good night here jamming to Gary Low, Planet Patrol, Expose etc... The DJ was great the music was only second , in my opinion, to Casanovas in Hialeah. The sound system was good, not great and the lights , well who cares! Great party atmosphere, beautiful women and great music. Anyone else remeber the place? Will be back to see any posts...

94th's owners are out of Cali.
I booked all the acts that ever played at 94th.
They hated performing there as the place had no stage and the crowd hated it even more as they were asked to get off the dancefloor in order for the acts to perform.
Loved this place, great memories...atmosphere was awesome...anyone remembers how comfortable were the couches on the second floor looking down at the dance floor (lol..lol)
I remember the big screen by the dance floor watched a couple of Dolphins games when they worth watching (Marino, the Mark Brothers, etc)
I found more info, they filed for corporation in FL on 2/1976 & opened in 1977 when building was completed, same owners ever since.
On Sept 22nd I will be hosting a Disco/Freestyle music event at the 94th Aero Squadron.
Performing will be Evelyn Thomas, Madelin Red, Ray Guell, Connie, Breezy Beat MC and Secret Society with former Limelight DJ and Expose's producer Lewis Martinee spinning all the hits!
More info will go up soon on my site at 305Disco.com
A one time favorite in Miami, I never found it anything special. Poor sound system, worse deejays. And as for that restaurant, do they still feature a rat walking behind your date as you look towards the runways from your booth? When CLUB MYSTIQUE opened, this place got blown out of the water. Still, to it's credit, it remains, while the others have gone, and on that alone, it rates a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10.
