Sundance Discotheque was the hottest summer club on the south Jersey shore. The club owner was Bruce Tempest. The djs were the same guys from Second Story in Philly; Frankie G, Bill Kennedy, Carmen Natro and many more over the years. I worked there playing the lights until 1983.

Feb 17, 2008 | 10:44 amThis place had so much energy it was a blast. Many Jersey "Shore Clubs" had that party til you drop crowds in them. Always a good time, lots of women everywhere, and despite the watered down drinks, a good time was had by all. On my scale from 1 to 10, it gets a 6.

May 21, 2007 | 3:33 pmI remember Michael Blum coming to the Chez and spinning. The Sundance was the best - unless you left and crossed Butch, LOL. Where else can you walk through walls of water and have a sound system in the bathroom.

Jul 07, 2005 | 6:48 pmHey Nelson, How are you? Remember those wednesday night beach party's, we couldn't fit one more person in the club!
The dance floor was cookin nonstop. Michael Blum was one of the other dj's that worked with us. I have great memories from those days.

i remember going to the Sundance in Wildwood and jammin out to all the great dance songs. One of my favorites that i am having a hard time searching for online goes "shoobe do wah da n' do be/this means war" i cant think who sings it, and the group called Slade who did "time". anyway, i use to go to the Stardust afterwards because my best friend, DJ Mike Giordano use to DJ there.
nice to think back at the good ol days when clubbin was fun.
