Maximus

The Maximus Disco must have been a small place as that address is on a residential block.

YOUR MEMORIES & COMMENTS ON Maximus

I HAVE NO IDEA WHO POSTED THIS BUT WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD REMEMBER THIS PLACE. MY UNCLE PHIL OPENED THIS CLUB ONLY TO BE BULLIED OUT BY A FAMOUS GROUP OF BROTHERS BEGINNING WITH THE LETTER "P". MY COUSIN PHYLLIS (GOD REST HER SOUL) HAD HER H.S. GRADUATION PARTY HERE IN 76 AND THE CLUB CLOSED NOT LONG AFTER BECAUSE OF A FEW MAJOR BRAWLS.

I found the ad for Maximus in an old magazine from 1977 or 78. I lived in Brooklyn back then and vaguely remembered the place. Was never there myself though.

This was a gangster hang-out. Mobbed-up, and didn't even try to hide it. Not worthy!

Mobbed up, maybe. But I remember the place being filled with very young girls. Very young and sexy. They are all now bloated Brooklyn housewives with kids in prison. What a f-ing shame!

You made me chuckle. Hope that is not true. There were too many of those young girls, it would be a shame! Hope you really were kidding!

When I say young, I mean young. One night I picked up one sweet doll, etc, etc. A few weeks later I'm driving my niece to her catholic high school. My "doll" was a student there, you do the math.

I think I have the button from this club. It was so long ago, I think I went there. I did live in Brooklyn at the time.
Not sure if the photo will upload
