what up party people! this is rich all the way from south america colombia. yeah buddy, boy, that i enjoyed those gothnam west days! i was only 17, living in paterson new jersey at the time and you people don´t know all the things i did to sneakout on saturday nights and head to the big apple to party at the best club that ever existed gotham west. i would go with my people from ptown new jersey. kiko, mickey d. max, george, albert, these last two were the the ones that intoduce me to gotham west. we knew each other all the way from primary school. peace to them where ever they are. one memory that i would never forget (from many that i have) is i can´t believe it up to this day is going out with sue raul´s ex girlfriend. there i was 17 year old and going out with one of the best dj´s from n.y.c ex girl, sue, homegirl if you ever read this my best wishes to you and we had nice times together and a little crazy ones! but cool!!!! my people, on my ipod i have all those good songs from gotham west and i never get tired of listening to them. like on my way back from work today i listened to go bang and yazoo.

DJ RAUL SPUN Kasso Key West, Bostitch Yello, Modern Romance Can u Move, Liquid Liquid Cavern, Kraftwerk Trans Europe Express and so on. The music was HOT! Afterwards we would go swim at the Leroy park pool by Varick St blocks away from the Paradise Garage.
After it was closed DJ Raul took his Technics uptown to 215th St. and Broadway and spun for awhile. DJ Pepe also spun at Townhouse 48 back then, anyone remembers. Also there was ONES around the corner on Hudson St and on Franklin St u had LOVETOWN. INFINITY's on Bleecker St. From the Garage on King St to the Milky Way in Scarsdale, I WAS THERE!!! Broadway 96 then down to Fresh 14. INFERNO on 19th st was also one of my favorite clubs. Funhouse, Studio, Xenons, Bonds, Electric Circus, the Underground....etc Those clubbing days were the best. The Fountain in Central Park was the dance Cathedral for all the dancers. I just want to say to everyone who lived through those days YEAH BUDDY BUDDY BUDDY! CHERISH AND KEEP THOSE MEMORIES ALIVE. Omg...I know Chino, Smurf, Spice, Jellybean, Freak of the Week Night... I was one of the original transplants from Gothams East and then became a regular at Gothams West. For those who frequented Gothams East remember the raid where everyone got arrested...everyone...club managers DJ's....yeah, by the way remember the lightman Devo...I know them all....shout out to David Navarro, Jenny, Vivian, Junior, Annette, Minerva, DJ Raul, Angelo and the rest Bronx, and Jersey City crew....Gothams still lives on!

Chilly Willy, Salsa all those guys from Duncan , Jersey city.. Im from the block
and agree how we at 16 partied till sundown at Gothams with no problem..

The original DJ at Gothams East was Pepe who also played at La Bamba. Then DJ Raul took over who played at Gothams West and later at Broadway 96!

Gothams West was a great club. Can anyone tell me the name of the DJ.

I still got my webo hat somewhere! LOL Yea those were da days-Hey amyc maybe I know you. I also used to go with my people from Jersey City, Eddie Pacheco, Sergio, Andy, Jellybean, Smurf, man it was so long ago I cant remember everyones name, some of them are no longer with us-yo Serg (RIP)-Dale webo, Dale webo, Dale we-ebo. After they closed down Gotham West (some kid got stabbed i think) we moved the party to Broadway 96. Man I was like 16 years old back then!

I liiiived for Gothams west...wow...move about...walkin on sunshine,i was part a a litttle jersey crew from jersey city nj...wat a blast it was all about the dancin'slow gin fizz hahah..always wondered how they let 16 yr olds party till the sun came out!!!wowow...loved that place there never was or never will be a club like that one...

Does anyone remember Gothams West club by the coner of ones? The freak of the night and wet t-shirts contest? Flash Gordon on the movie screen and lots of huevo pants and belts, hats, handkerchiets as shirts and dancing to the huevo music at the baby powder floor?
