Jasmine's
Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York
Jasmines was a very small club (think closet) with mirrors all around. Played the best music of any club I've been too.

COMMENTS ON THIS DISCO / DISCOTHEQUE / NIGHTCLUB
this was a neighborhood bar/club that had a following or click of bay ridge and bensonhurst people, mainly of jewish/italian background. the dj played up - tempo type disco music during the mid to late 70's when i stopped going there. i remember during the summer on sunday nights after spending the day at manhattan beach in bklyn. as being the best night.
Jasmine's closed and became "Changes" for a very short time. It then became "TJ Bentleys" and is still there. "DJ Danny "Pooch" Pucchiarelli commanded the turntables there shorty after leaving the "Nite Gallery"
I spun there when it was Changes and converting to Bentley's..Geat sound system,,,we had 4 turntables in the booth,,Johnny Lights was the house DJ,,I filled in and also worked at some of their other clubs
I loved hanging out at Jasmine's in the 70s I turned 16,17,18,19 in there it was the greatest times of my teenage years that I can remember. My friend Marlene and I hung out there almost every night that it was opened then. All of our friends hung out as well even from Canarsie and Neck Road Also I would love to be there now hanging out. I would love to hear from anyone who hung out there during that time also.
I REMEMBER ALL THE GOOD TIMES AT MANY OF THE BAYRIGDE CLUBS. BACK IN THE DAY WE WOULD COME FROM AVE U GRAVESEND ON FRIDAYS AND SATURDAY AND PARTY ALL NITE.
GREAT PLACE, I WENT THERE WHEN I WAS ABOUT 15 OR 16. GREAT MUSIC VERY LOUD & SMALL GOOD TIMES JOE CAM..
I used to hang out there on Wed. & Sunday in the late 70's with my girlfriend Donna. We were from Bensonhurst. Hustle partner was Jerry & Roger. I married Roger 25 years ago & we still talk about Jasmine's. Great DJ, great times...
Hung at on Neck Road and East 13th Street. Went to Jasmine's in the late 70's and could not wait for Saturday nights. I remember there was a dance called the "Patty Duke" people were dancing and how the DJ played the same set every weekend. To this day if I hear an old song I know what the next mixed song would have been at Jasmine's.
Moved to Florida 20 years ago.
Great memories!
Shari - I also met my wife there - in June of 1979. Still married (23 years!)
GregC - Same here about remembering the next song in the set. My wife and I still laugh about it when we try to remember the next song when we hear an oldie.
Best time of my life.
i met my wife there while on a blind date with another girl
