COMMENTS ON THIS DISCO / DISCOTHEQUE / NIGHTCLUB

This club was originally The Village Station, the first gay club I ever went to. I walked in, ABBA's "The Visitors" was playing, a friend put a bottle of poppers under my nose, and I knew my life had changed forever. A few years later I would DJ at 4001, where I was the first in Dallas to play "Beatbox" by Art of Noise. (Thanks, Metamorphosis Records!). 4001 was also where I tried Special K for the first time. This was around the time Starck Club opened- Dallas was about to get really crazy...

Does anyone know what happened to James Griffith?

Sadly, James Griffith passed a few years back. He was one of the best. I remember getting my first mixtape from 4001, he had mixed berlin "sex" into the break of Madonna "I'm burning up" to make it as though Madonna was singing the lines "I'm a s***." So it was like "I'm burning up...I'm a s***." Very well done. Extraordinary talent. FLAWLESS TRANSITIONS.
