CLUB DETAILS, MEMORIES, YEARS IN OPERATION & TECHNICAL DETAILS
15 Lansdowne St (I think it was also called Cabaret previous to this) in Boston had a ginormous dance floor with DJ booth on the ceiling. It was one of the first discos of its kind with an ear-splitting sub-bass sound system, shows and a great light show for its day. Studio 54 evolved from dance clubs like this. Sooooo much fun! 'Saw the Pointer Sisters in Fort Lauderdale this weekend and it reminded me of "the day".

I remember it had an outrageous cover charge of $6 but that included two drinks. Then the ABCC got wind of them forcing (esentially) people to have two drinks. They had to lower the cover charge to $2.50 and not include drinks.

Wow, is anybody still left from then? I worked at Cabaret After Dark from March - October 1974. I worked security at first then did the lights for the showroom. Lots of stories. Not one picture just an After Dark shirt that I still can wear but I don't want anything to happen to it so I don't. I moved to LA in 1975 and you can find me also on the Studio One postings. Long time ago.
