Mar 19, 2010 | 8:57 pmOne of the owners was Phil Brown, and another DJ was Ian P I worked there on its last few nights before it closed down in the late 1980s

I cannot believe this club has got a mention on here! I started going in '79 when it was still known as Scamps (new Order had their first gig there on September 5th 1980). I used to get in free with a mate because he knew the barman. We also collected glasses in return for all the Pernod and orange we could drink! I was also a regular at Bunters...I seem to remember the DJ liked to play Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me Round "Like A record" back to back with Divine's "You Think You're a Man. Good Times ;) indeed.
ps I know Ian P and he's still DJing.
