Boris Midney of Beautiful Bend, Festival and USA-European Connection fame in a DiscoMusic.com interview
17 North Wabash, Chicago, Illinois
The Hideout (owned by Ron Briskman who also owned Dingbats) was another one of the hot discos during the early 1970s. The disc jockey was Bill Jenkins a.k.a "Disco Billy" who was one of the hottest Disco DJs in Chicago for mixed and Black dances.
The Hideout had three dance floors (2 downstairs and a small one upstairs. Fridays and Saturdays were the big nights. Disco Billy was also a guest DJ from time-to-time at Dingbats. Not only was he a great DJ, but also a funny entertainer that got the crowd involved and everybody loved to participate in his contests and skits. There were also fashion shows and live entertainment from time-to-time.
