CLUB DETAILS, MEMORIES, YEARS IN OPERATION & TECHNICAL DETAILS
I remember the Allegro night club as a dimly lit "dive" kind of place, with a relatively small dance floor with great music played there. I remember dancing to "Devil's Gun", "Peter Gun" (Deodato), and "Magic Fly" there.

I remember the Allegro, fondly called "The "A" by us regulars.
And that dark landing at the top of the stairs outside the dancefloor area where you could get "involved" with horny menz. :)

Eric working the door, and "Helen" bartending.... ahh, the memories.

Hi, I am doing some research (for a writing project) on Dancing Clubs/Discos in the Philly area around the late 1960's and 1970's. Do you have any info or names of clubs?
