CLUB DETAILS, MEMORIES, YEARS IN OPERATION & TECHNICAL DETAILS
City Limits was a great club for a lotta' years. Within walking distance of THE COPA. Catered to the young straights. It was the second club that kids would see coming outta' the airport. Copa being first.

City Limits packed them in for Spring Break. Halloween was a madhouse too. Spacious dance floor. You definitely wanted to AVOID the restrooms. Total HAZMAT area. You know it's bad if a guy is saying that.

My favorite place to go pick up a stewardess (usually Delta). I think they went Country and Western briefly in the early '90s, but gave it one last go as CITY LIMITS before shutting down in the late 1990s. When I first moved to S. Fla. Michelle and her sister Danielle (?pretty sure?)-two sexy thick Italian broads-took it upon themselves to show me the club scene. CITY LIMITS was the first club they took me to.

Let's bring back City Limits, or Playpen, or Button South...or any other great clubs like them...even for one weekend.Wow!! I'd be there...Anyways, Limits was a good bar to stop at in between the other clubs...decent music, great great drinks at a good price. Lots of people....always things going on..videos, music, bands, and people..never bored there!

4 o clock club, i played in the new society band. half the club was in hlwd, other in laud. , so booze could only be served in one half of the club after a certain hour. crazy.. many great nites with maxima 70 band. non-stop music, one guy replaced the other between bands so no silence. joe, the owner?, stan, the mgr. chum, at the door. "get ur tickets at the window, my man"

Ol Limits. Shame that it can't be reopened...AND NOT CHANGE A THING! That would be one place I'd fly from Vegas just to go to, believe me on that one! Lots of great great nights. I was able to get many friends and coworkers to make that their hang out. And the funny thing is, they lived in South Miami and even further south, as did I. Who remembers the long term bartenders there? Rick was there forever, Steve was there forever, Sherri(worked back room, now at Christophers), and I cant remember the brunette that worked the main room...Gayle??

City Limits will rank up there to me as a great bar on all levels. They would have a 'House' band perform 2 weeks at a time on their stage in the main room. Music was anywhere from poppy metal, rock and alternative to some decent dance music. There were videos that were played between sets. Great people went in there...50/50 mix of locals and tourists. If you wanted a more eclatic mix of dance, go to the back room and there was yet another bar(Metro). I knew all the long term bartenders there, and they treated me as a good friend. Missed the drink specials, free sunglasses, and t-shirts. It was a great place to go to at anytime of night, and at one point anytime We-Sa, it was happening. Sundays were quiet but not bad overall to hang and have a drink. If you wanted more quiet time and watch TV, shoot pool, there was another room to do just that as well.
