cats that was a long time ago.... but they were good memories... I wonder what ever happen, why did it close... what year did it close...

Suzanne Johnson did not open Cats, nor Ensign Bitters nor the Mutiny. She was a manager (that never lasted anywhere) and opened Suzannes and messed that up also......

I worked at cats as a busboy/barback/bartender, for about two years. what an experience. I hung out alot in the dj booth, rick taught me alot about music and mixing.I met a lot of interesting people, both customers and coworkers. An important chapter of my life. An amazing club at the right time and place.

Cats had a great crowd.It was a tad cramped in there however.

When one does the things I've done, I feel fortunate to remember the EIGHTIES at ALL!!! You are right! Of course, but STRINGFELLOWS was so forgettable that it wasn't easy to remember anything about that joke of a "CLUB". Given that I was mistaken, I often am, CATS was so much better than the few MONTHS that STRINGFELLOWS was open that it was a JOKE!!When you worked in a club that had no future, we called it a STRINGFELLOW!!!!!!

:) I know you personally so I know how you can be mistaken about this club.
STRINGFELLOWS actually came after CATS. CAT'S era was in the early eighties to about 1988. That's when STRINGFELLOWS took over. STRINGFELLOWS did not last very long though.
