Destiny II
3739 Overland Ave. Los Angeles, California
Had to mention Destiny II in Los Angeles 3739 Overland Ave.
Destiny II was one of the hottest discos in LA back in the 70s. Owned by Steve Bannergee (sp) who turned it into Chippendales. It was still a disco but had male strippers and was the beginning of the Chippendales phenom. Roy Madrid was THE DISCO TEACHER at the time. He, along with Denny Terrio, taught Travolta dancing for "Saturday Night Fever" and the rest is history. I taught with Roy and some on my own. We put on one of the biggest disco contests in Los Angeles produced by Midori Ligour to promote their melon liqour. I could go on and on.
