Fancy is also non Italo artist; German...
>Fancy is also non Italo artist; German...
You’re right, Fancy (Manfred Alois Segiet – probably) is a non Italo artist – yep, he’s German.
But I was wondering why ZYX label, included Fancy in the compilation
VARIOUS ARTISTS: Best Of Italo Disco Fox (FOOLS CRY)
ZYX label NEVER included Modern Talking, CC Catch or Bad Boys Blue in ANY Italo disco compilation.
And if we talk about “non Italo artists”, than Ivan, David Lyme, Valerie Dore, Laban and many other “non Italo artists” shouldn’t be considered Italo disco artists.
But if you look around EVERYBODY consider them… Italo.
I don’t consider Italo disco, the Germans Modern Talking, CC Catch, Bad Boys Blue, Joy (Austria) and few others. They are – IMO - Euro disco, or German disco.
Yes, my friend,
also Mike Mareen, Silent Circle, Sandy Marton(from Croatia; working in Spain) ,Grant Miller(Fancy?) are non Italo and I suppose, few more artists but accent is on their production so everybody consider that "they" belong to Italo! OK with me, I can listen them with a pleasure... Anyway, that style of music is my no.1 and especially disco stuff like B.B.&Q. Band, Deodato-SOS fire in the sky(no.1), SOS Band, Midnight Star, Barry White, Quincy Jones...
Ciao & Best regards,
Dario
PS: Keep the records spinning!
I consider Mike Mareen, Italo, but I don't consider Silent Circle and Fancy Italo.
So, start listing the artist and the country.
It will be fun.
Ciao
I like specially Eddy Huntington-U.S.S.R.
and Den Harrow-Don't break my heart.

And I would add few hundreds more, but unfortunately in a Top 100, I can only put… 100.
I was already very difficult to choose 100 from the 2,000 songs I have in my iTunes.

Many many good Italo songs! But I don't see no Scotch, no Radiorama, No Ken Laszlo...Well,my friends, there are other Italo songs which are less known but still good(or better) to take no.1's places in charts! Of course, I LIKE Ken Laszlo, Radiorama, Scotch and other well known artists but these are Diamonds like some other less known...
Well, after so many years I'm still discovering "new" Italo&Euro disco songs from early 80's that I've never heard before!
Of course, Italo' s the best music! but Euro-Disco is also good(BBB, Modern T, Fancy, Silent C, Mike M...()

those tracks is well known to all italo fans and very popular. other thing in my opinion we should not consider some italo and other is not or euro the rythm and tune is similar or at least have alot in between . 20 years back first time i listened to all of those italo and non i never felt any diffrence in between those style . other thing if we will classify it in thise way thise mean there will be ( italo . german . spain . holland . swedish .....) which is unaccebtable
thanks

32. Patrick Colby - Mandrill
I would throw in the list Brian Ice, Hipnosis, Cyber People, JD Jaber, and Forbidden Fruit.
Also that Alan Ross - The Last Wall was much better track than Valentino Mon Amour, but that's my personal opinion.
