CD REVIEW & COLLECTOR NOTES

Disco Box by Rhino Music is a mixed bag in that the packaging and huge 60 page color booklet are first rate, but almost all of the 80 tracks are single edits. Rhino is usually known for excellent sound, but the track "I Like What You're Doin' to Me" by Young and Company was obviously taken off a bad tape with tons of wow and flutter. Nonetheless, the caliber of song choices and packaging more than make up for any negatives and thus makes a great addition to any collection and is perfect for parties where variety and number of songs are important.
