Donna Summer's most successful record since 1984's CAT'S WITHOUT CLAWS, this set is a fresh take on the 1978 classic LP, "LIVE & MORE". While there are a number of highlights, this release suffers from its budget restraints as the full concert and a 'more" side requires 2 discs.
Two new singles, "I Will Go With You" and "Love is the Healer" both hit #1 on the dance charts and feature classic Summer vocals and her flair for the theatrical. "Dim All the Lights" opens with Summer singing hard and gruff, a la Rod Stewart, in an amazing hommage to that classic rocker--and for whom Donna Summer originally wrote the song. Otherwise, most of Donna's post LIVE & MORE hits are represented, and the ones missing are featured on the DVD release. Recommended: Combine the original LP and the DVD tracks for a comprehensive live package of Summer's career.
