Can U follow this? The original release was stopped, all copies were destroyed on Prince's order. Some were stolen and bootlegged and 6 years later the CD is released officially!?!
Luckily, coz' this is one of Purpleman's best records ever.
1.New Power Funk
2.A salute to Cindy Crawford, better than most of the houserecords of that era. "Cindy C. where'd you got that beauty mark. I pay the usual fee, what's the matter, don't u like me. I wanna see u in ur birthday suit tonight. 2 other solos to go. Cindy C. will you play with me? Music is the key to set yourself free." BRILLIANT track.
3.A complaint about the sillyness of (C)Raprecords. "All rappers are tone deaf"
4.Only track that made it to the replacing album "Lovesexy"
5.A violent song adressed to his former manager. Incredible track only based on a heavy drumbeat. Prince was smart enough to leave the vocals to one of his bodyguards.
6.Dance to the max. Mary Poppins on acid!
7.Cyberjazz, irresistable.
8.Could have been a track on "Sign "O" The Times.
Prince declared all these songs too dark but strangely enough performed all of them during his "Lovesexy" tour.
Although he saw the wild reaction of the fans he still refused to release them for years to come.
