Having purchased this CD in Munich in 1994, I had no idea upon first glance what the music was about. I had heard the term Salsoul but hadnt known any material. As soon as I listened to the first few tracks I knew where half the Club Classics of the time got their samples from!!! The music is luscious and the track choice is spot on for anyone who wants to find out about this label. Standout tracks for me include Instant Funk's "I got my Mind Made Up" and Joe Bataans version of Gil Scott-Heron's "The Bottle". A great introduction to the Salsoul Label and I would recommend this as an essential purchase.
