YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS

Initially, part of the reason I bought the 54 Soundtrack was to hear what some had said was a better sounding version of "Que Sera Mi Vida." Well in short order this soundtrack became one of my favorite CDs, period. OK, so "Knock On Wood" ain't the original, but you can find that song just about anywhere. Besides, the cover was is a nice change.

Those who said the sound was better were onto something. These CDs are perfectly remastered. Tommy Boy's engineers must have been in the discos back in the day cause the music is exactly the way it would have sounded in the clubs back then.

Even though there are only a handfull of tracks like "Que Sera Mi Vida" that are the extended version, you wont be disappointed. I am a man who likes the extended 12" versions, but really enjoyed the way the music was put together. In addition to the quality of the music, the track sequencing and flow was perfect. Quite frankly I'd rather have this cd on a desert island than most any other including the much hyped Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

It goes without saying I highly recommend these CDs, especially for those wanting a good taste of what disco music is all about. Buy it before Tommy Boy takes it out of production and/or others realize just how good this cd is and bump the price up.
