The Bee Gees have been around since the 1960s so many of us take them for granted or pigeon hole them into the whole Saturday Night Fever / Disco era, but truth is the Bee Gees are more than that.
Universal has just released a new Bee Gees compilation entitled "Number Ones," which shows how varied and truly great their musical offerings are. In the early days of the Bee Gees some of their songs had an almost Beatles style (Lonely Days) while some are full of sadness (I Started A Joke) and others still evoke the Disco era and dancing (You Shoul Be Dancing). The 19th track is "Man In The Middle," which is a tribute to Maurice Gibb who died back in 2003.
Rediscover the Bee Gees with this release. Some editions include a bonus DVD of live performances by the Bee Gees.
"No other band has scored number ones around the globe in each of five decades."
