"Disco Heat" presented by Kenny Dope is a three (3) CD set featuring a nice selection of tracks - many that have been released elsewhere on CD.
The first CD is a continous DJ mix, but of the annoying "cut 'n' loop over to death" variety as opposed to playing actual songs. You can safely ditch this first disc and head on to discs 1 and 2 instead and hear, for the most part, the original songs. Some songs are not the full length or even original versions such as Carrie Lucas' "Dance With You" being only a 3 minute version instead of the 6 that appears on the original vinyl 12 inch single and then Gary's Gang's "Keep On Dancin'" is not original at all, but some modern remake or remix that is horrible.
Despite the above, there are some great tracks on here such as "Jazz Carnival" by Azymuth, harvey Mason's "Groovin' You"...
One last thing, this CD set is packaged in a flip out digipak--you know--those annoying cardboard jewel cases that fray and fall apart after a week. Wish they would stick to regular plastic jewel cases.
