MUSIC REVIEW & COLLECTOR NOTES

Gregg Diamond's Disco Tech (Discotech) compilation at first sounds like a great thing. Everyone has been dying to get his Bionic Boogie and Star Cruiser material on CD for the longest. Problem is that the music is taken from vinyl that was run over by a tractor-trailer. Yes, that bad. This should be labelled a bootleg. Nonetheless, for Gregg Diamond fans this is the only way to get some of these tracks short of burning your own from vinyl.

Some of the selections like Andrea True and Samantha Fox are actually two mixed together and on others liberties were taken to mix other things in so some things are not exactly original. Again, this is only for die-hard Bionic Boogie and Gregg Diamond fans. If you have the vinyl you can certainly do better burning your own CD.

Yes - SAINT TROPEZ did cover "Most of all". I like their version, too.

if I'm not mistaken, the Sweet Inspirations also covered "Hot Butterfly". And Saint Tropez covered "Most of All".

Totally agree about the sound quality...and it's ironic that they even printed a consumer guidance chart at the back of the CD ; giving it a 10.
But anyone running across this CD (which I picked up for $5 at Walmart !!!) has got to buy it regardless.
But any CD featuring Chaka,Luther,Cissy Houston,Andrea True Connection and Gloria Gaynor...is a winner in my book.
