It's time for another PTG Records reissue! Get your funk on with Wynd Chymes, a group I had neglected listening to back in the day, but now able to discover and enjoy because of this new Dutch reissue.

The album cover may look laid back, but the music on this disc is anything but. This is chugging Funk with horns and slick bass guitar. Since they appear to hail from the South and was recorded in Atlanta, one may immediately want to compare them to the laid back and polished sounds of the S.O.S. Band, but Wynd Chymes are much funkier and rawer sounding then that. If anything, Wynd Chymes on the song Body Rap sound more like Earth, Wind and Fire. Listen to it below:
