Backbeats Soul Steppin - 80s Soulful Steppers features tried and true artists and groups who updated their sound to reflect the then new trend in music. A more urban and funkier sound was taking hold and these established--and some newer artists, successfully changed with the times as evidenced on this retrospective from compiler Ian Dewhirst.
This tenth volume from the Backbeats series is a nicely compiled disc which will appeal to those new and old as it covers a lot of ground. Great selection, sound and it's priced to move so there are no excuses for not picking this one up.
