[Tracks 1-9 from the 1976 album, Kellee]
[Tracks 10-13 from the 1979 album, All The Things You Are]
Kellee Patterson hailed from Gary, Indiana, the home of the Jackson Five. She was known locally for wining numerous singing talent shows and also was the first black woman to win first place at the Ms. Gary Pageant show.
Funkytowngrooves has delved back in time and repackaged two of her albums from the 1970s: Kellee which is jazzy R & B from 1976 and All the Things You Are decidedly Disco-tinged from 1979. Let Go has a Dee Dee Bridgewater feel to it and is a scorcher number.
As with other Funky Town Groove releases, this double album package features excellent restoration from analogue sources by Donald Cleveland and DiscoMusic.com member, Bruce Bartlett.
